Certified Veterinary Technician / Nursing Supervisor / Inventory Manager
After graduating from Archbishop Wood High School in 2006, Kristine attended Manor College, where she was awarded the academic Joseph and Rose Wawriw Full Tuition Scholarship for both years and a Certificate of Distinguished Service upon graduation. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Science/Veterinary Technology in December 2008.
Kristine first came to IWVC in the Fall of 2008 with Manor College’s externship program. We were so impressed that we hired her shortly after her graduation, which took place in May of 2009. Kristine became licensed as a Certified Veterinary Technician in March 2010. In February 2013 she became our Inventory Manager, and in March of 2014 added Nursing Supervisor to her responsibilities.
Kristine’s fiance Jim shares her love of animals and they have 4 cats (Tristan, Cimarron, Jonah, and Romeo), and 2 dogs (Zoey, a Golden Retriever, and Xena, an Alaskan Malamute). Although not sharing her home with any currently, Kristine has cared for 8 rabbits over the years and says they are really her favorite animal.
Kristine’s favorite activity outside of work is spending time with Jim and their pets. Her favorite charitable organizations are the House Rabbits Society and the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) (where she adopted her beloved Maine Coon mix, Tristan).
