Certified Veterinary Technician
Andrea graduated in 2012 from Manor College with an Associate’s Degree in Science/Veterinary Technology. She was awarded the Certificate of Distinguished Service as a leader in the Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians (SCNAVTA), as well as a Compassionate Animal Care Award at her Veterinary Technology Pinning Ceremony. She then passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in Pennsylvania. In the future she hopes to pursue a Bachelors Degree in another animal science as well as teach in a Veterinary Technology setting. During her studies at Manor, Andrea did part of her externship at Indian Walk Veterinary Center and we were so impressed with her that we asked her to join our team!
Andrea is the second of five children, the youngest being their sweet fuzzy Bichon Frise, Buddy who is truly the love of their lives.
In her free time Andrea loves to spend time with her family-especially goofing around with her sister, taking trips to the beach, mountains, and wildlife refuges, listening to music, as well as horseback riding, volunteering, and taking care of her school horses when she can.
Andrea says: I am so happy and blessed that I was given the opportunity to work here (at IWVC). I truly love being able to help and comfort these animals who don’t have a voice. It is so true when they say “If you truly love your job, you never have to work a day in your life!”
